We just opened some new Groupee chat rooms. These do not replace the usual Bravenet room. If you like that old room, keep using it. If you don't like these new rooms, then don't use them.

Please note that the Groupee rooms are not perfect. They have bugs. This is not something that is in our control. But Groupee is working on a very cool upgrade using Flash. We've tried it. It's GORGEOUS. That'll be coming out soon!! Consider the current rooms to be "Beta" versions. Use 'em if they work. Skip 'em if they don't.

Japanese text is OKAY in these rooms. Try it! Korean text is okay, too!

Use these rooms as they are, or don't use them. Understand that we don't have time to work on them or give any email support. Our community is wedded with Groupee, and we just take whatever we can get. Please remember that we are all volunteers at JguyUSguy. We are not a business. We're just a few guys. We do not have teams of engineers working on things. We have to depend on Groupee's engineers.

Select a room to join a Chat:

Click the link to a chat room and a small window will open up on your screen. You need to be logged in. Your display name from your profile will be used.

You will see the current discussion ongoing in the chat window and a roster of participants on the right hand side. If nobody is there, try waiting a few minutes.

In order to post to the chat, type a message in the text area below the ongoing chat and click "send."

Yes, yes, yes, you can post private messages to just one guy in the list. In order to post a message ONLY to one or more participants in a chat but not have it seen by others, single-click the name or names on the right hand side roster list and then type your message. You will see your post listed as a whisper.

You can ignore users in another chat discussion by single-clicking the user name in the right hand side roster and then clicking the "ignore" icon below the roster. It looks like a tiny brown bag over a head.
