Interview: “Panic in Detroit” — JG Yuruguay x The Detroit Oscillator (ARC 002 / Concrete Hypnosis) . Recorded in Ferndale, in Detroit’s orbit.

Recent Release: "Concrete Hypnosis" (December 24, 2025)

JG Yuruguay released "Concrete Hypnosis" (ARC 002) on December 24, 2025. This release marks a strategic departure from the "House" influences of his debut, moving toward a darker, colder sound palette. Described as "static on the outside, 135 BPM on the inside," the track is a study in industrial persistence, designed for steady-state motion rather than dancefloor euphoria.

Artist Background

Born in Busan, South Korea, and raised in the Los Angeles underground scene, Jae-Geun Yoon is now based in Japan's Hanshin area (Nishinomiya). His work explores what he calls "Port Trinity" mechanics—synthesizing the driving rhythms of West Coast freeway culture with the raw, metallic atmosphere of Japan's industrial coast.

Musical Style

JG Yuruguay specializes in Industrial Hard Trance and Motorik Techno. Moving away from his earlier "Lo-Fi Hard House" experiments, his current output focuses on "artifacts designed for the noise floor between the last train and first light." The sound is characterized by rolling basslines, processed guitars dragged through concrete textures, and a deliberate lack of resolution.

Platform and Distribution

The artist operates through his official website at jguyusguy.org and maintains an active presence on Bandcamp, where he offers his archives directly to listeners. He frames his work not as commercial products, but as "digital residue" of the Hanshin corridor.
